Screw geometry

Five zones, each doing a different job

Feed section

Efficiently receives and conveys HDPE material from the hopper into the extrusion barrel.

Compression / transition section

Progressively reduces channel depth to promote polymer compaction and melting.

Metering section

Provides controlled melt conveying and helps maintain consistent output and pressure.

Mixing section

Additional mixing elements can be incorporated where improved melt homogenization or additive dispersion is required.

Screw tip / nose

Manufactured according to the machine and die-head configuration, with suitable clearance and dimensional accuracy.

Surface treatment is selected based on polymer characteristics, operating temperature, filler/additive content and expected service life. Appropriate surface hardening can improve wear resistance, dimensional stability and operating life.

We manufacture replacement HDPE monofilament extruder screws and barrels based on customer drawings, existing components, machine specifications or physical samples. Our engineering team evaluates the existing screw and barrel dimensions and develops a replacement with suitable geometry, material specification, surface treatment and dimensional tolerances.
